It's The Little Things

Happy Hump Day!

Today I'm linking up for "The Little Things".  As usual with kids, there's always little moments to be grateful for - their cuteness, sweetness, or when they say the "darnest thing".  While I've had my share of those moments the past week, the moment that I'm appreciating right now is a little down time.  Yesterday was a crazy day at home.  The kids were fighting, whining and I was trying to clean and organize the house.  It was a little chaotic and stressful, but at the end of the day everything got accomplished and to prevent the kids from going stir-crazy I took them to the pool so they could splash around and expend some energy. We all came back in a better mood which was nice.

After the kids were fed and bathed, I came downstairs, lit a candle, poured a glass of wine and started on this post... it was so nice to sit back, relax and enjoy the quietness of the house and have a little "me time".  I love blogging because I'm able to unwind from the day and have a creative outlet, something that's important to me as a SAHM.

Can't read what your moments were this week!  I'm also over at Lindsay's blog Pink and Fabulous for her "What's in the Bag" series, hope you stop by to check it out and say hello!

Have a great day!

I'm so jealous that you can go to the pool in February! We're expecting 6 inches of snow in NC today.

Ah! Jealous y'all get to swim on February! I can totally relate to needing that quiet time, it's amazing how much a little of it can relax you.

"Me" time is what I look forward to all day! Love that tray you're using to hold your wine :)

1. Thank you for your post! 2. I completely get this post! Everything about it! 3. I would trade you 500 glasses of wine to be at the pool!!

I could not agree more! Right after I put Liam to bed, I pour the wine and sit down to my computer for a bit. My husband jokes that I'm "working". Love it!

Love this. Totally why I blog - I'm sure something like going to bed or just watching TV would be relaxing, but I think it is even better to pour a little of yourself into this outlet. Esp if there is a glass of wine involved =)

As much as all of the time with the kiddos is amazing...sometimes the quiet and a glass of wine can't be beat. And you do it so well =)
